This week has been quite the busy one to say the least. Some exciting news to begin with, 2 of our articles were featured on Digg.com's front page simaultaneously. We've also had a great response traffic wise torwards the site, reaching an astonishing 190,000 visitors in one day.

DeviantArt is the ultimate space to get illustration inspiration. There are a whole universe of artists there that will actually blow you mind with their works.

One of those artist, Artgerm, has created a character called Pepper, who is this absolutely beautiful girl, that any geek would fall in love in a blink of an eye. She is a total phenomenon, because other artists over deviant actually started doing Pepper fan illustration, hundreds of it. And you'll probably figure out why right now:

I’ve always been a fan of lighting effects and glows, I know, it might sound outdated but I like to recreate those effects in Photoshop. The last 2 Photoshop Tutorials I wrote, the Sparkling Hot Girl in Photoshop and the Break Apart, I explained how to do some of these effects mixing them with photos.

Now, in this post I will show you some of the images that really inspired me to write those photoshop tutorials. There are some incredible designs, from guys like: Chuck Anderson, Leandro Demetrius, James White, Someone Graphic Design, and others.

There’s one more thing, I’m already working on some tutorials using this technique for GIMP and PIXELMATOR.

I’ve been hooked on the US primaries this year – I’m fascinated at how different the process is from the UK, and also by the possibility of either the first women or the first African-American President. Barack Obama’s campaign has been inspirational, but even the most elevating stump speeches can get a little repetitive after a few weeks.

Spare a thought then for Scout Tufankjin – who has been photographing the Obama campaign for over fourteen months.  She’s captured some great moments backstage and at the fringes of the phenomenon that is Obama.

What inspired this video for DVNO by Justice? With scores of flying, exploding, 3D, rainbow and chrome logos – it can only be 80’s TV graphics. Motion by Machinemolle and designed by So me, the talent behind last year’s awesome Justice video – D.A.N.C.E. (via Stereogum)
